Over more than 25 years, Rees has found, purchased, or been gifted objects that have the capacity to transform. Things in her collection can shift through means of an action, however small, to reveal something surprising or change from one static condition to another, as demonstrated in the video she made specifically for the “Collective Affinities” exhibition.
